q. SKATE SHARPENING????
a. Our skate sharpening service is provided for the benefit of people who buy skates from us. Skates that are bought from us are sharpened before sale free-of-charge. Subsequent sharpenings cost 5 pounds per time. This service is NOT automatically extended for skates that have been bought elsewhere, but we will try to assist ONLY if we're not busy. The cost is 8 pounds for a first sharpening and 5 pounds per time thereafter. But please note that there are some blades that we either will not sharpen or will apply a higher charge.
- Sizing - how do I know what size to order especially as sizes vary from one brand or model to another?
- So far, we have managed a record of getting the size right in over 99% of orders. This is because we have been fitting people like you with skates and hockey equipment for over 20 years and we have a good feel for the relevant factors when deciding upon what size to go for. If someone does nott know exactly what skate size they need, we will naturally ask them their regular shoe/trainer size, then we might even ask about their age, weight and build. As strange as that may sound, it seems to work.
q. Shipping - what is the cost, and how long does it take?
a. This is a little bit involved, so please bear with me. We have all of the Bauer and Nike skates & equipment in stock at our location, and most of the other stuff like CCM, Franklin, Jofa, Sherwood etc come from other locations around the country. So the cost and delivery time of shipping varies - please phone for quote.
q. Returns - what happens if the stuff I buy does not fit me or if I do not want it ?
- We reckon that we are pretty careful, reasonable and fair, so we have had very few returns for any reason. Nevertheless, you should always let us know if you think there is a problem before you decide to send it back maybe you are just unsure of how something should feel when it is on, in which case we can sort it out over the phone. If that fails, you can send it back at your expense for a refund or a replacement subject to all of the following:-
- We will refund you with the full amount together with all P&P charges if A it is our fault and we have advised you wrongly on size or B the product is faulty. Otherwise, we will deduct the P&P charges before making a refund.
- The goods must not have been used, marked or damaged in any way and in their original packing with labels and tags still intact.
- Returns should be done after notifying us and within 10 days of receipt.
- You should make sure that you use a secure method to return goods.
Our conditions do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
